“The report confirms the negligence of the institutions of the Honduran State responsible for carrying out judicial proceedings to clarify and investigate the human rights violations committed between December 1, 2017 and January 27, 2018, during the crisis that followed the November 26, 2017 elections, and their failure to prosecute and convict the perpetrators,” the statement notes.
Signed by the Coalition against Impunity (Coalición contra la Impunidad), the Convergence against Continuity (Convergencia Contra el Continuismo), the Cattrachas Lesbian Network (Red Lésbica Cattrachas) and IUF Latin America (Rel UITA), the statement highlights the complicit silence of government authorities, as well as of the bodies responsible for guaranteeing basic rights in Honduras.
