Last Wednesday, March 29, in melon plantation territory in the Honduran deep south, hundreds of protesters demanded that Fyffes put an end to its union busting practices and blatant disregard for human rights.

A large banner could be seen in the crowd supporting the struggle of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) against Fyffes’ ongoing violation of the labor rights of its mushroom farm workers in Canada.

The story is the same in Canada and in Honduras: same exploitation, same abuses.
