With no agreement reached, the strike continues

Protests continue in several cities in Colombia after a meeting held on Monday, May 10, between President Iván Duque and the National Strike Committee, ended without an agreement.

The social unrest that has been sweeping the country for days is not easing up, with marches and protests continuing across the country.

Labor federations, teachers’ unions, and organizations of pensioners, along with other civil society organizations, are calling for another National Strike tomorrow, May 12.
